Crowley Honored As “Best New Products Company of the Year”

Binghamton, N.Y., November 10, 2005 — Crowley Foods was recently recognized by Dairy Foods magazine as the “2005 Best New Products Company of the Year.” Donna Berry, senior editor of Dairy Foods, presented Milt Cutway, Crowley Food’s vice president of operations, with the award at a reception held on October 26, 2005 during the Worldwide Food Expo in Chicago, IL.

A feature article in the November issue of Dairy Foods profiles Crowley Foods and its 2005 business initiatives that led to this award. One of those initiatives was the successful introduction of a completely new packaging look for the Crowley brand.

“The most successful ‘new product’ launch in 2005 has been the closely orchestrated launch of our new packaging,” said Joe Cervantes, chief operating officer of Crowley Foods. “ Crowley’s new look was launched in June of this year, and it has had a positive impact in terms of distribution and customer feedback.”

Other components of the program include sales materials, new flavors and flavor names, advertising, new truck graphics, a redesigned Web site and the implementation of a consumer health and wellness information program.
