Crowley Recognized for Superior Worker Safety

Binghamton, N.Y., May 25, 2005 — Crowley Foods has received four awards for superior worker safety from the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA). Nominated operations were judged solely on specified data required annually by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) on the facility's "Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses" report.

From among a select group of dairy companies, Crowley won awards in the small facilities competition in the following categories: cheese processing operations for its Bristol, V.A. plant; short haul trucking operations for its Paterson, N.J. location; long haul trucking operations for its Binghamton, N.Y. location; and mixed haulers trucking operations for its Plattsburgh, N.Y. location. The awards were presented at a special ceremony held April 27, 2005 during the IDFA's Plant Operations Conference in Chicago, IL.
