History

In 1904, J.K. Crowley purchased a small dairy business in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and founded the Crowley Dairy Company. In 1915, he moved his company to Binghamton, N.Y., where, now known as Crowley Foods, it is still headquartered.

In the 100 years since J.K. Crowley founded the company, Crowley Foods has continued to grow. Consumers can find high quality, award-winning dairy products bearing the Crowley name from New York State to Ohio to Florida and as far west as the Mississippi River.

Today, Crowley Foods is made up of six dairy food brands that are leaders in their market areas - Crowley, Heluva Good, Rosenberger's Dairy, Axelrod, Maggio Cheese, and Penn Maid Dairy. Our company manufactures and distributes a full line of dairy products, refrigerated beverages, frozen desserts, and specialty products, which we sell to retail food and foodservice customers. Crowley Foods is owned by HP Hood LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of dairy products throughout the United States, headquartered in Lynnfield, M.A.
