Simple Changes... Big Results!

Among the top 10 New Years resolutions is losing weight. Is that on your list for the New Year? Is so, let us help you with some simple changes that you came make that will yield big results to make your resolution stick this year! You will find it amazing that by making little changes that you can live with can really save on calories and help you achieve your weight goals without dieting.

Here are some ideas to try:

Eat Breakfast!
Did you know? People who eat breakfast tend to weigh less than breakfast skippers! If you don't have time to sit down for breakfast, that's okay! Grab something quick on your way out the door like a Crowley Yogurt, a piece of fruit, or a cereal bar.

Cut Back on Sugar
Every teaspoon or packet of sugar has 16 calories. Cut back on the amount of sugar you put in your coffee or tea! Just cutting back by one teaspoon per day will save about 1.6#'s worth of calories over the course of 2007.

Switch up Snacks
Cleanse your snack cupboard and stock up on fruit! Swapping a 100 calorie serving of a snack food (crackers, baked chips, pretzels, etc.) for a piece of fruit will save about 40 calories! Do this each day during 2007 and you'll save about 4#'s worth of calories!

Change to Non Fat Yogurt
Is yogurt part of your daily eating routine? Switching from lowfat yogurt to Crowley Nonfat Yogurt saves about 90 calories. Over the course of the year that can lead to 9#'s of calories saved from making this switch! (Based on having 6 oz of lowfat yogurt daily)

Good Bye Candy Dish
Many offices have candy dishes around which may tempt you on a routine basis. Those innocent looking little candies may only have 10 calories a piece but say you stop back 3 times per day. over the course of year that would add up to about 2#'s of calories! Saying goodbye to the candy dish could save your waistline 2#'s per year or MORE!

Fruit Instead of Juice
100% fruit juice provides your body with nutrients like vitamin C but you can get that from an orange too! Replace a cup of juice with an orange everyday and save about 50 calories per day and about 5#'s worth of calories over the year.

Lighten Up Your Coffee
Instead of regular half n' half try Crowley Fat Free Half n' Half! Making this switch everyday in your "cup of joe" will save about 4.5#'s worth of calories over the course of the year. (Based on 2 tablespoons of half n' half in 1 cup of coffee)
